Paper:
White cardstock - Hollo's, Certainly Celery and Old Olive - Stampin Up, Crystal
- Mica/Metallic - Paper Temptress
Inks:
Color Box Chalk - Pink Pastel, Ranger - Distress Ink - Spun Sugar
Accessories:
Pearls - KAISER scrapbook, Scor - Pal, Pop Dots
Instructions:
Base Card -
6" square. With the color Certainly Celery cut a 5 3/4" square, cut 5
3/8" square and cut 5" square. With white cardstock cut 5 5/8"
square, cut 5 1/4" square and last 4 7/8" square. Adhere all of them
together except for the smallest piece of white. Take the small white square
and using the Scor - Pal, run score lines through it diagonally every half an
inch. Now with the Spellbinders Standard Circle Small cut out 3 circles in
various spots on that small white square. Use the same 3 dies to cut out some
scenes using the Daphne pattern paper. With the Spellbinders Standard Circle
Large Dies, cut out of white scrap cardstock, 3 circles, one size larger than
the pattern paper to make frames around the pattern paper. Adhere the pattern
paper to the white frames. Add some pop dots and set aside. With the same 3 large
circle dies cut out more pattern paper and adhere under the 3 cut out spaces on
small square. Glue square front to rest of card. Take the 3 framed pattern
circles and adhere them slightly over cut out circles on card front. Cut one
Ornate Gateway topper and adhere to card. Use Posy Patch Flowers PreCut
Set, stamp flowers on white cardstock, die cut with coordinating Posy Patch Die.
Brush color onto edge of pedals, shape
each petal and layer to form flowers, arrange over die cut. Die cut 1 leafy
swirl from the Gift Ensemble Die set, cut apart and adhere under each flower.
Place a pearl in center of each flower, added some pearls to die cut gate topper and added in
3"s beside each cut out circle.
Hope I was able to inspire you today...
Thank you for stopping by!
Linda, what a great way of "spotlighting" special portions of an image, and creating a "collage" affect at the same time, but in keeping with a very elegant, feminine card. Thank you for the inspiration - I would never have thought of doing something like that. hugs, de

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love your design.
ReplyDeleteDragonflies were always a source of wonder for me a child spending summers on my Aunt's farm where a nearby creek seemed to be an unending source for viewing them. It fascinated me that this flying insect could make itself airborne with such light wings compared to its heavier body.
